Rates for parking meters near The Rio are $1 per hour, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a two-hour maximum. Parking on downtown streets is not allowed between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Parking meters are free on Sundays and city holidays. Meters accept nickels, dimes, quarters, or Cash Keys.

Off-street parking lots are available along Blake Street – both north and south of The Rio. Rates vary according to the day and time. The closest below-ground parking lot is located in the SugarCube building directly north of the Rio on Blake Street. For rates and information, click here.

Public transportation
The Rio is located across the street from the RTD Market Street station, a stop on numerous bus routes. For RTD schedules, visit the RTD website.

The free 16th Street Mall shuttle, which travels the length of the pedestrian mall from Civic Center Station to Union Station, also stops at Market Street station. RTD light rail riders on the D-, F-, or H-Lines can get off at 16th Street and catch the free shuttle on the north side of 16th. Light rail patrons on the C- or E-lines can get off at Union Station and walk or ride the shuttle 2 blocks East to Blake St. For more details on the 16th Street shuttle, visit the MallRide website.
